LJM provides temporary and permanent depilation treatments, both for sensitive facial areas, such as the chin, upper lip and eyebrows and sections of the body, such as legs and bikini line. Waxing is the most widely used and economical method of hair removal. At LJM this involves the application of warm Susan Molyneux Organic Wax. The heat acts to open up the pores and the wax is quickly stripped off, removing all the hairs it has covered. Tea Tree Soothing After Wax is then applied. Electrolysis (where a sterilised disposable needle is inserted into each individual hair follicle, cauterising it at its root via a small electric current) is the traditional tried and tested means of safe and permanent hair removal. LJM offers the most advanced (and still very rare) form of this treatment available, Apilus Computer-Controlled Electrolysis. Because it is tailored by the computer to suit the individual's sensitivity this is incomparably more comfortable than any of the other standard methods of electrolysis. Instead of inserting a needle into the hair follicule, Transdermal Electrolysis involves placing a probe into a specially formulated conductive gel to transmit the electronic current via the skin to the hair follicles. This creates a chemical reaction in the hair follicle which will eventually destroy new hair growth. The treatment is pain-free and non-invasive and so is good for more sensitive areas. LJM now offers one of the most recent developments in hair removal - treatment by LHE Laser. This causes very little discomfort and has relatively quick and effective results.
